The Fall 2019 VIE Conference will be held on Friday, October 17th at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA.

Conference registration is now open!

Submit a Proposal: As always, we are looking for great session proposals. Proposals relating to International Student & Scholar Services, Education Abroad, Enrollment Management, and Campus/Community Programming are the most popular, but we are always looking for any topics that are of interest to members. If you have a proposal idea, please complete the Session Proposal Form online. If you have an idea for a presentation but don’t want to present alone, please go ahead and fill out the form and indicate you would like help finding a co-presenter. You can also email the board at vie.nafsa@gmail.com for session proposal questions.

Campus Location:

Parking:

Parking passes will be distributed by the Study Abroad Staff. Conference attendees will utilize the Ferguson Parking Deck (#9 of the map), which is located at the corner of Avenue of the Arts and J. Clyde Morris Boulevard. If you are staying at the Marriott City Center Hotel on Thursday night, parking is free for the night. On Friday morning, you must utilize the park pass distributed by the Study Abroad Staff.

Thursday Night Dinner:

The Thursday Night welcome dinner will be held at 6:30 pm at Salsa’s Mexican Grill restaurant, located down the sidewalk from the Marriott City Center Hotel. Please follow this link to Google Maps for directions:bit.ly/30K4IWG

Accommodation:

There are rooms reserved at the Marriott City Center Hotel in Newport News, VA. You will need to ask for the VIE rate. Please reserve by September 17th for the best rate.

The registration fee for participants is $40/person and $90/person for vendors.
